MII KANA CHE WAN

The Teaching Rocks Are Talking Again

This site adapted from the original by Rene Meshake of Guelph, Ontario.
Images and other contents used with permission.

Welcome to MiiKanaCheWan (Path carving river in the forest) home page of the Guelph Aboriginal Community. We liken our internet project to a river's carving action on the rocks to create a path for itself through the wilderness. Modern technology is the wilderness. The computer screen has become the new rock face. This time we're creating 'petroglyphs' using software, hardware, light and electricity.

The inspiration and content of these pages spring from the application of the 4 directions of the Medicine Wheel - Vision, Perseverence, Passion, and Movement. We hope that by sharing our ideas, issues, aspirations and talents, we will have a stronger sense of community, cultural identity, learning, and economic development.

We come from different communities with unique lifestyles and dialects and this is our story.
